Imam Hamza completed his memorization of the Qur'an from Markaz Khalid bin Walid, Sharjah, UAE at the age of 11 years old. He is a graduate from the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Psychology. Upon completing his undergraduate education, Hamza decided to deepen his understanding of the Islamic sciences. He traveled to Egypt and Jordan to earn Ijaazaat (authorization) in Qur'anic recitation from Sheikh Muhammad Ali Uthman Abu Rifa't, Sheikh Ali Abdu al-Tawaab and others. He also completed the year-long course in Arabic at al-Tibyan Center for Arabic studies in Cairo. He then spent the next five years studying in the blessed city of Madinah, at the Islamic University of Madinah, where he earned a B.A. in Islamic Jurisprudence and Islamic Sciences. In Madinah, Imam Hamza studied under the tutelage of Sheikh 'Amir Bahjat, Sheikh Abdullah Abal Khail, Sheikh Mus'ab al-Marzouqi, Sheikh Abdullah Mehdi al-Shinqeeti, Sheikh Muhammad Naseef, Sheikh Hasan Bhukhari, Sheikh Safwan Dawoodi, and others. Hamza also earned a M.A. in Arabic from Middlebury College in Vermont, USA and a M.S in Clinical Psychology. He currently serves as President and Imam of Masjid Samiya in Connecticut.
Haarith graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science and Engineering. He often serves as an Imam & Khateeb at Masjid Samiya and at Masjid Esa Ibn Maryam. Haarith also leads the congregation for Taraweeh prayers at multiple masajid in CT, including Masjid Samiya. He is currently working as a Software Engineer.
Arif is president and founder of Vohra LLC, a Real estate development and property management company. Arif also owned and managed Vtech Consulting, IT Recruiting placement firm from 1999-2003. Arif Vohra brings his various experiences as an engineer, inventor, entrepreneur, and his background in sales, marketing, and non-profit management to An- Noor. He furthermore provides 25 years of experience in establishing and operating masajid gained from his father's tutelage.
